My Gigantic Celosia

It was August 1st when I posted something about my celosia plant that started to bloom. At that time, the other celosia plants seemed to stop growing and would not bloom at all especially the first two celosia plants that I’ve planted (and survived). Well, I was frantic at that time because I was really excited to see all of my celosia plants bloom. But after two months, I was surprised to see my first two celosia that I was worried about.

I’ve took this picture September 22nd at around 8am. Look how much it has grown since the last time. The one on the right is the other celosia that I’ve planted together with the tallest. The two of them are actually taller than the one on the left, which is the first celosia that bloomed. The green one already started blooming when I took this picture. As of the moment, it already has more flowers.

I was really curious to know how tall my celosia plant is, so I measured it last Friday… Surprisingly it is 230 cm or 7.5 feet. Woah!!!! Can you imagine that? This was how it looked August 1st. See the green one… Just compare it to the picture above… I really don’t know what happened. So instead of growing flowers for the next two months, it just grown taller. Probably it’s because of the fertilizer I put… I don’t know or it might be because of my TLC… wahahahaha…

These are my third generation celosia… They have started blooming before my tallest celosia… hehehehe…

Since my first, second, and third generation of celosia plants are all grown up. I started my fourth gen a few weeks ago. They are taller now, since this picture was taken a week ago… Celosia plants really grow fast. I need to buy more pots though for these little buddies, but I’m sure they will be gigantic in the future. ^^
