Music, art, literature, and nature…

One of the greatest gifts of nature to humans… flowers. And in my pot garden there are some of them. Take a look…

Morning glory

My pot garden will not be called Krizna’s pot garden without morning glory. It is one of the easiest plants to grow. Mind you, they can grow at any place in our garden as long as it has soil… They seem to have acclimatized well in our place.

Basil flowers

Of course another permanent resident in our pot garden. The ever thriving basil that can withstand the heat and rain of the Philippines. And because of these small flowers, the number of bees that visit our garden surges again! >.<DSC04381DSC04373

They are flowering again. Although I forgot what they are called. They are bulbs… Can you please tell me what they are called? ^^

Who can forget about these wonderful plants? I actually had posts about them. Although I am having problems because these plants are tasty treats for the birds in our place. I haven’t taken a picture of the green flowers. They are not lovely to look at. T.T Birds…

One of our earliest plants that have flowers.

One of our earliest plants that has flowers.

Another plant that I’ve forgot the name. It was blooming profusely two weeks ago, but this morning it has only two flowers left. The others have already fall off. They will bloom later anyway.

My father said this is called “tigpud” (I’m not sure about the correct spelling). This is the plant that my cousin brought from Cebu. My father said it can cure warts. This was supposed to be used by youngest brother to cure his warts, but his warts had already healed before the plant fully matured. ^^

Ampalaya flowers

Ampalaya flowers

We are growing bitter gourds! And I’ve already tasted some of them. The vegetables are not so much bitter than the leaves… The leaves are awfully bitter to the max. When I tasted them, it was okay at first but as you eat them… OMG. I can’t even describe how bitter they are. So much that we just throw away the leaves. But the plant is growing fast. We planted another batch from the original, and they are growing fast too.

Bleeding heart

Bleeding heart

The latest addition in our garden! This bleeding heart plant was bought by my brother when he went to Tagaytay. I think this white part is not the actual flower. The plant had already bloomed a few weeks ago, and they were pink flowers that protruded from this white part. I think those were the actual flowers. Probably… hehehehe ^^

Although this has not flowered yet and is still growing. But I’m already excited to see its cute little flowers. ^^

  1. I don’t even know how I ended up here, but I thought this post was good. I do not know who you are but certainly you are going to a famous blogger if you aren’t already 😉
